I am a 28-year resident of Berkley and have years of involvement in various aspects of our community life, including: Berkley City Council, Founding member of Berkley Youth Soccer, Coach for Berkley Soccer and Hoops, Strategic Planning Committee for the Berkley School District, Public Safety Committee, and Berkley Citizens Committee, among others.
Professionally, I have served as President and Clinical Director of Brookfield Clinics for the past twenty-five years, employing more than 20 clinical staff. In addition, I am an Adjunct Professor in the Graduate School of Counseling at Oakland University. Beyond these positions I have provided consulting services for State and National Governments, healthcare organizations, and private corporations.
Many of these roles involve the wise management of money. I will bring that experience and other creative ideas to Council. Particularly now that money is tight, wise decisions must be made that reflect our priorities. It is essential that we ensure our financial security, maintain quality services, attract valued businesses, and preserve our neighborhood spirit.
As a parent, small business owner and educator I believe that my neighbors also share these values. It will be an honor to represent their interests at Council by providing common sense leadership that works for Berkley.
